It was a small accessory from the late 1980s that could be attached to the Sherwood Shadow regulator and allowed divers to dive with one less hose by connecting the BCD directly to the hose of the second stage octopus. Alternatively, it made it possible to connect the BCD even for those with a single-connection tank and a first stage equipped with only two LP ports, obviously reserved for the main second stage and the octopus.

The device, released from the collection of Alfonso Gangemi, consisted of a very short hose with a connection that inserted between the body of the second stage octopus and its supply hose. The short hose was oriented forward and terminated in a quick-release coupling to connect it to the Vis, the stabilizing jacket's control unit. Everything seemed simple and functional, except for the inconvenience of having the intriguing second stage + Vis assembly with its corrugated hose on the left side, which certainly made using both less convenient and immediate.
